Following our fren Axelar Network, Interchain Token Service allows to easily expand tokens into multiple ecosystems: Interchain Tokens are fungible, and custom features are preserved from chain to chain. You can read more information about ITS here.
At first, we just can use ITS portal to bridge DACKIE and QUACK to target chains (OP). In the future ITS will be integrated with SquidRouter bridge for more familiar with user.
Below are detail steps how to bridge tokens from BASE to OP:
1/ Go to ITS Portal
2/ Click on Transfer button
3/ Choose Target Chains, in this case is Optimism
4/ Input amount token you want to bridge
5/ Click Transfer again, approve and confirm on Metamask
6/ Now your transaction (tx) is in processing, you can tracking your tx by click on My Recent Transactions
7/ Then click on tx hash:
8/ Axelar scanner will show you status of your transaction and time to finish it.
The completion time for this transaction depends on the individual blockchain; here is a table of average transaction completion times. For the Base network, as this service is new, the current time ranges from 15 to 20 minutes. This time will be improved in the future.
That are all steps to bridge token from BASE to OP, for vice versa you just need to do the same.
